Bulb upgrade?

Featured Replies

Has anyone upgraded the headlight bulbs on their fabias, was wondering if it is H7 bulbs i need for dipped beam and any recommendations you have?

Many thanks

Hi,

Been covered many times, use the search - but in answer to ur question yes dipped beam bulb is H7, I have some Osram Night Breakers and they're brilliant. I found them quite sheap on Flea bay but IIRC u can get them direct from Osram!

Do a search on here for it on here, you'll be suprised how much it's been talked about, also maybe worth looking into Philips bulbs too, its all down to personal taste as they both do exactly what they say on the tin!

Good luck!

I have philips Extreme +80% for the dip. They are pretty good. I was running 130w bulbs for the main/full beam (which were fantastic) but they seemed to never work properly.

piaa bulbs are chuffing expensive but are teh best normal bulbs ive ever used. i forget the exact type i had but they were really white almost daylight in colour and very clear to use. i couldnt find a cheap supplier for my vectra so ive got down the HID route (yes i know, illegal etc, mine are properly adjusted with washers) but would go back to them if i could

I think the 130w bulbs will burn your wiring loom out if u used them too much!

What happened to them?? If they kept blowing then they got too hot most prob, also gotta be careful that they dont melt the plastic lense of the headlight!

Philips Diamond vision. H7 5k bulb. Looks like HIDS and gives good light. I have never seen another fabia with them other then mine

I have Osram Night Breakers and think they are the dogs

There seemed to be a connection problem or something. When i put them in they would only work intermittently. When i put the originals back in, all worked fine.

I checked the bulbs by putting them in the spot lights on the landy and they seemed to work fine too. I still don't know what the problem was
