Automatic gear lights on dashboard are blinking!

Octavia 2003, 1.8T, 60000Km.

Transmission lights are nonstop blinking :confused: , overall performance degradation, and car is not switching between transmissions normally, even it doesn’t transmit to the 4th gear (last one in automatic).

Checked by VAG-COM & got faulty ECU, tried disconnecting the battery cables, reset the error messages but without use, any idea what is going on :(?!

I do appreciate help here.

Is there any way to override this faulty great control unit?
