servicing, dealer and cust services cant decide

Featured Replies

at 27K i had a service done and had oil, and air filter replaced

as well as inspection fuel filter drain and of course oil.

At 54k i had another service where oil, air, pollen and fuel filter were changed.oil was also changed as well as a full inspection.

What needs doing at my 80-90K service?

the car is on varible servicing hence it tells me when it needs one, should i wait till it tells me it needs one or get it done 30K after the last one,

It is 30 months old. the cambelt was changed at 79K, i know i need to get the brake fluid changed (especially as i tow a lot)

also the clutch hasnt been changed-nothing wrong with it just wondering how long i can expect it to last. on previous cars the record was 50K (normally 30K) either im getting older or this one is a very goodun,

The reason for asking is i might get a sensible answer, skoda customer services contadict themselves two dealerships contradict each other (one of them telling me the pollen and fuel filters need changing at every service.

aslo what should i expect to pay?

Tdi 110Bhp-want a new style one but need an estate and also want everyone else to have the teething troubles. :D

on varaible servicing theres 2 types 24month or 48 month

24 includes pollen, fuel drain, oil change and big inspection

48 includes pollen, fuel replace, air replace oil change and big inspection

then there are extras like brake fluid change every 2 years and coolant change every 3 years and cambelt change every 60k. these are done at extra charge..

the 24month service takes 2 and 1/2 hours and 48month takes approx 3 hours so depending what the labour rate is?

so you next service when the clock starts to count down you should need a 24month service i would suggest.

hope that helps mate
