Uneven running between 2K and 2.5k

My fabia vRS runs uneven when travelling at constant speed especially in 2nd or 3rd gear with the revs between 2k and 2.5k.

Anybody else noticed this problem ?

When we took the car for a test drive the engine management light came on and before we collected the car from the garage they replaced a valve located behind the engine cover on LHS.

Not sure if it's related....

Mine (TDI only) does it at really low revs and thats due to a faulty MAF which is about to be swapped over. Dunno about running poor up to 2.5K because thats prime turbo boost / maximum torque/power territory, so is a little odd. :confused:
