Hello all

Just to say hello & introduce myself - got a "previously enjoyed" Anthracite Grey 07 Octavia Ambiente 1.9 TDI 2 weeks ago from Mitchell Skoda in Chester & so far so good - 1st Skoda I've had & very satisfied so far - good service from Mitchells (take a bow Rob Norton) & am enjoying driving the car; look forward to getting in it every day - bit sad I s'pose & novelty will probably wear off soon. Handsome looking car - looks the bees knees close up & from a distance.

One niggle so far - rear windscreen gets very condensated on the inside & takes ages to clear even with heated screen on - is this common?

Also rear screenwash jet is a bit erratic - read somewhere on here that cap can be removed & nozzles cleaned; is this an easy job or should I go back to the dealers?

Watching a re-run of Top Gear on Dave before & Clarkson & Hammond were having a go at Skodas ("seriously uncool") - Hammond said Skodas were Volkswagens for mean people; sheep in the audience baaaing agreement. As with anything old prejudices die hard - I like Top Gear but has now gone down in my estimation; thought these guys had more sense.

Sorry this has all got a bit long-winded - as some of you may have guessed from my username I have a passion for the Mighty Reds & the Mighty Saints; just to say that I'm not here to wind up any ManU, Everton or Warriors fans - I come in peace!!! ( & I'm still licking my wounds from the Grand Final on Saturday:()
