just got our renewal for our audi A6. as the superb will be delivered about 4/5 weeks after the renewal date thought i would just check what the poilicy will go up to for the new car (its 6 years newer and 5 times the value) and the policy is......£45 ..CHEAPER !!! amazing !! better security and safety on newer cars ? skoda is cheaper than audi generally ?? dunno. dont care !!. expected it to go up by about £100 !!

If its in a lower insurance group then it should be chaeper.

not checked the groups to be honest. they are both very similar in that they are 1.8T petrol so expected them to be same group but i always thought newer / more expensive cars were more to insure as a total loss claim will cost them a lot more on a newer car.

I have been looking for insurance as well I have ecar insurance to be about half the price of anyone else protected no claims superior hire car etc windscreen they come out at just below £300 can any one beat this or know of any problems with ecar norwich union do not yet recognise the new car and their indian staff cannot work out there is a new car not offence.

Best thing to do is get as many quotes as possible. Sites like confused.com can be handy. I'm currently with ecar but never had to claim although seen somewhere on the net they can be a bit funny with claims not so long ago.
