01 Skoda Fabia 1.9 D noises when i turn steering whell to left or slowing down

HI

I ahve just purchased 1,9 D fabia 01 model I notic e when drivintg that if i only slightly turn the steering to the left a whirring sound appears to come from the front of car its ok on right turn . Similarly if I am travelling at say 50-60 miles ph and just let car coast a similar noise comes from front

any ideas?
