Remap - thinking Revo

Featured Replies

Morning People.

i know this question has been asked many times before, and ive searched and cant find what im after so thought I would ask again..

Ive decatted my VRS, real impressed by it but want more (im use to a Cupra R running 270 bhp). So ive got a large front mount intercooler ready to go on, and some more piping for the intake pipe.

Should I Remap her? if so what remap should I go for? Still running standard backbox (but thinking about taking the box out and just having a pipe), and still running standard turbo.

I have cruise control so I believe you can have the theft control put on (had it on my Cupra R). But not sure if you get this on fabias. Anyway these are my questions..

1) Should I get it remapped?

2) What remap should I go for

3) Will it work with a standard turbo

4) I know I will have to change clutch (but will wait for it to slip first).

5) Anyone know a good remap place in kent?

6) Do you need to run oil temp + boost gauges before the remap just incase it starts to cook the oil (had to do this on my cupra R)

7) Will I need to change my dog mount

8) What MPG will i be getting (I get 46 driving around town, thats a bit of race and bit of grandad driving).

Thanks

Steve

Take it no one has ever had a remap or cant answer my question lol.

Is there a forum where people answer question on skodas? thought this was the place to chat and share ideas.....

not rating this forum at all

"not rating this forum at all"

Give it a chance - I think you perhaps need to break your question down to be a bit more managable - to answer everything is a bit tricky and specialised as it is unlikely that one person will have done everything you want to do. I would help, but my vRS is strictly standard.

Just log in using one of the regs usernames, you'll get an answer rather quick then :P

In all seriousness this forum is usually full of help, and you'll find most of your answers could be answered with a search, which might be why everyone sin't flocking to this thread to help you :)

Again, I'd help but my Furby is standard

Hi Steve

I will try and answer your questions in order:

1) Yes, the vag PD's respond very well to a remap

2) Go with a reputable tuner, search this forum and others for customer reviews.

3) Yes, the turbo boost should NOT be increased much at all in a good map on this engine

4) Stage 1 software is usually fine with a healthy clutch, but changing is recommended for torque over 300lbs/ft

5) We're not in kent but we are good

6) No, this is not needed

7) You don't have to, although it is a good little mod

8) Our customers usually see improvements of 3 -5MPG on average

Hope this helps

Take it you cant read as it states "I tried a search".

You sound like a right idiot. I have a Revo remap and before i got it I did searches on this forum. Granted it takes a lot of time to read through all the threads but all the information is there that isn't on Revo's own website.

People won't spoonfeed you everything, you have to be proactive and read up on stuff yourself. For instance if you had researched the Revo website you'd find that only the SPS 1 works with the Fabia vRS and this has not got the immobiliser function.

You are really not going to get much help when you post answer like that

What cupra did you have?

AMD do Fabia VRS remaps (based near Lakeside in Essex), not used them as my VRS is standard. have a look at amdtechnik.com. they should also be able to answer many of your questions.

Angel tuning have some good reviews on here. Any they come to you wherever you are. I had my vRS SE done by them and was well pleased.

(And just chill mate, they really are a great bunch on here as you'll find if you stick around)
