Newbie advice please

Featured Replies

Hi chaps, Im new round here.

I did own an octavia for a wee while but got rid.

Im currently driving a moderately modified S2000, but my GF is pregnant and it has to go and money is nower tightier :(

I have always liked the fabia VRS, im looking at getting one this weekend.

It has done 69k and is an 04 plate, should it of had any servicing things done specifically as it gets older?. Does the engine open up then or lose power etc???

Is there anything to look for at this mileage and faults with car?.

I also want to remap, add PD160 intake and lowering springs - can anyone recommend?.

I have heard of various tuning companies but i dont think i want to go any further than 180BHP (parlty because of the clutch) or get a more usable remap better for road use, can anyone recommend any?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, good info.

Cambelt should be done every 60k, other than that just the usual servicing every 10k.

for tuning I've used Star Performance www.starperformance.co.uk - they are excellent, but they are a couple of hours from you.

Lowering springs I would suggest the best are eibachs, KW's or weitecs, I also suggest a anti roll bar as well to the shopping list. Make sure to chek out the North West region for meets in your area.

Davy
