Fuel Guage Problems!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

My fuel guage on my Vrs seems to be very erratic once it gets below half way. It moves between the notches pretty quick then moves back up when i return to the car the next morning. The fuel light comes on then goes off. I'm not sure if it wud be the sender unit. If there are any faults with the sender unit would these show up on VAGCOM?

Also does anyone know if the Fabia VRS is fitted with the brake pad wear warning light?

Cheers

J

If you look on Vag com, then the option is there but there are no sensors for it on the car. Just cut them off if your pads have them on

Cheers m8 thanks for that, The new pads won't have them on. Wasn't quite sure how the sensors worked.

Have a quick search.

On a sunny day you can see all of the icons in the middle of the instrument panel.

Another we don't have is the seatbelt warning light

Yeah i can see the light in the middle of the square and i know you can switch it on with VAG COM so i'll give it a try. Apparently if you switch it on with vag com and you don't have the sensor fitted the light comes on straight away.

Yes that is correct, so not much point in enabling it

On a unrelated point, but seeing as it's been mentioned, some Fabias do have the seatbelt warning enabled. There's a sensor you can unplug under the driver's seat, if someone has it and doesn't want it :)

I remember it coming up in discussions a few weeks ago.
