Sun Roof with Solar Cells..

Featured Replies

What are the Solar cells on there for?

Don't they do the same as the old Superb and provide a power source to the internal fan to keep air flowing in the car on hot days and a little cooler for when you get in?

Dunno - Never noticed of the old Superb had that option

maybe it's an L&K thing or Edition 100 thing then, but it was available, a couple of the SuperB's that have been up for sale on here have had it

That's exactly right. It was available on all original Superbs, but was very expensive, especially when the Elegance came with a normal sunroof as standard.

I only ever saw one car that had it.

OK - Not a feature im too fussed for....

There's also a supply problem with the sunroofs for the new Superb at the moment. Skoda say it could be anywhere from week 45 to week 51 before they get it sorted.

My 100 has one. Bit of a gimmick if truth be told. You can hear the motor working when you get in it on a bright day, but IMO it's never going to be powerful enough to keep the car really cool.
