Bluetooth compatability?

Featured Replies

Hi to All

Does anyone here know if a Bluetooth v1.2 headset would work with a Bluetooth v2 phone?

Am about to invest in a MGw Zinc II and want a noise cancelling headset. I have seen a Bluetrek UFO with noise cancelling and long talk / standby times, but is only BTv1.2

I would have thought so. It's more likely to be problematic the other way around.

But I could be talking complete tosh, as usual :D

It should work either way.

Yup, should be fine.

Thanks for the input guys. I have ordered it all anyway. Just got to figure out how to transfer all my contacts and appointments to it when it arrives now.

Currently using a Windows mobile 5 device, new one is 6.1 Should keep me out of mischief for a while.

Update is it all seems to work together and the 8 gram Bluetrek UFO headset is impressively light and comfortable.

The MWg Zinc II is an impressive device. Only problem so far is that it seems to adjust it's own time on a regular basis.
