Hi all! New Octy VRS owner :)

Featured Replies

Hello!

Bought myself a black 03 Octavia VRS estate at the weekend

Showing 68k and full main dealer history the car seems very straight and unmolested. The bodywork isn't pristine, but it'll come up well with some time and elbow grease.

Buying was a good experience - the small independent trader basically just threw me the keys and said take it for a drive, come back when you are ready!! Did rather more miles than intended as I got slightly lost and nearly didn't find the garage again!! Haggled the price down substantially as it needs a little paint, a major service, a couple of tyres and a damn good clean and polish.

It runs and drives very well indeed though, and as my GF proved when she drove it back home for me, it is very nearly a match for my (totally stock) Focus RS even in standard tune!! Thanks honey!! ;)

Decided to wait till the end of the month to tax it rather than waste half a month taxing it now, so I'll have to be content to just look at it for the next couple of weeks...

Cheers, Mark

Thank you, thank you and thank you!!

Car is booked in for a service, cam belt and water pump at the dealer close to my work on the 3rd November. A colleague used to use them and rated them as pretty decent, so will give them a try..

I'm sure I'll have some questions to bug you all with soon enough!!
