i have an 04 octavia,i got it in july.

the day i bought it,the engine managment light came on,and is still on.....10,000miles later.

i am in the private hire trade.

theres never been a problem with the car.

i am no mechanic,but know a bit about diesel engines[drove a truck most of my life].

i am assuming there is a faulty sender.

i would like some opinions on this if any one can help.

it doesnt concern me too much as there is no problem.i am just curious.

The light can be activated for any one of a thousand reasons, you'll need to get it read for fault codes for a diagnosis to be made.
