Featured Replies

(My 1st posting) I'm have problems with the electricals on my 53 plate 1.9tdi Octava problems include

Key fob does not open or closed door.

electric windows do not work nor sunroof

no internal lights including boot

buzzer does not sound when leaving lights on and open door

all other lights cd a/c seems ok

i have check the fuses all ok

any ideas anyone

Do any of the windows work from their respective door switches? A fault code read of the convenience system would be a start. Without that, I would guess at a control module fault, either the drivers door one or the convenience one.

In this case I would suspect the convenience unit located behind the dash panel with the headlight switch on it. The controller in the drivers door does not control the sunroof directly. The quickest way of confirming this is with VAG-COM (module 46 which may not respond at all if faulty).

I have seen a fault in the door modules or wiring loom cause this kind of failure, but in those cases the door buttons were being held down.

Thanks for the advice what would be the costof a replacement unit?

Had same similar probs with my 53 Jan 04 Tdi pd 130 Octavia estate, Drivers door no go on fob, no buzzer when lights on and opening door and also probs wth door mirror controls. Was the module in drivers door I took it to Skoda dealer complained bitterly and they supplied module for free and just charged fitting but came to £70.
