Hi everyone.

Has any body ever blanked off there egr valve with the fordge blanking plate? To stop those hot gas going back in to the engine. if so did it throw up any engine man lights?

You talking about a vRS?

As the vRS does not have EGR. That plate is for blanking off the secondary air system on a vRS, rather than the EGR found on other Octavias.

And no, nobody has done it as far as I know. Check the mk4 golf forums...

This is something people have done on diesels, mainly the Fabia VRS - search the Fabia I section. Yes it does turn the light on though, but you can get it mapped out.
