Octavia on the way

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

After four years with a 2.0D Mazda 6, I've got a company leased Octavia Estate Elegance PD140 on the way (hopefully next week).

The Mazda has been OK but I never got used to a periodic high revving mode at idle. Also the CO2 is high and the fuel consumption never very good. I'm looking forward to the Octavia as it should be cheaper to run and comes with all the gizmos. I used to own a Seat Toledo so my eyes are already open to the 'budget' end of the VW empire.

I did have one interesting bit of feedback through HSBC Leasing - they told me I couldn't have a Highland Green one because Skoda were not making any more of that variant...so I've ordered silver. Seems a bit early to be winding down production if they're not replacing the car until 2010? Perhaps it's just the PD140 engine? Adding a DPF maybe? Probably I'll search the forum and find the answer...

Welcome.

The facelift Octavia is due end of this year early next year AFAIK

Ahh... a facelift, that would explain it. Seems like I got confused information from HSBC.

Also seen the thread on this now!
