Internal and door light problem

Featured Replies

Hi all

Was changing the internal reading bulbs today and I think I may have shorted something. The bulb wouldn’t come out and like an idiot I messed around the plug with a screw driver. This had the effect of making the lights flicker:eek:. Now the middle internal light refuses to come on and neither do the red door lights. The reading lights still come on via the push button and with two of the slider settings but not when the key is taken out of the ignition or when any door is opened. Curiously when you open the glove compartment the reading lights switch off. The car recognizes the doors are open and closed as it registers this with the light on the dash board. Can anyone help with this problem please?

Thanks

Problem Solved, brrrr its cold out there tonight. It was fuse number 4 which was partially on its way out. Replaced it and everything is back to normal. What a donut

Lesson learned ;) I was gonna suggest a fuse but you have it sorted.
