As the title suggests......HELP!

Got my Allard "power pipe" kit (eventually) and attempted to fit it today. So off i went with, allen keys, spanners, pliers and screwdrivers (toolbox overkill :))

1st two bolts on top of the EGR were a doddle but when it came to the third one, for the life of me, couldn't get it :mad::mad:

Anyone got any advise on this as i'm REALLY getting annoyed with it:mad::finger::mad:

Cheers folks

have you removed the pipe work for the IC??

Get that out of the way for some more room then get the allen key and use a set of pliers to help turn it ;) ... long allen key helps :)

Also the pipe to the bottom of the EGR remove this completely and fit the blank over the base of where the pipe comes from ;)

If you remove the pipe from the exhaust and the two top screws, squirt WD40 into the joint and twist gently anti-clockwise. It has a rubber washer/gasket which will squeeze up allowing the unit to rotate a bit. Then you'll be able to see and reach the third screw.

Cheers chaps.......I'm tackling this AGAIN tomorrow! Hope i get it fitted lol

if you want a hand give me a shout or pm asap ! and i will come down

its only a half hour job and ive already done it ;)

I did mine today, and found that if you undo the exhaust recirculation pipe at the bottom of the egr (2 allen bolts) then you can bend the pipe slightly to allow you to access the last bolt.I slacked mine off slightly ,then used a long flat bladed screwdriver to undo the bolt, as it is hard to get the allen key to turn due to restricted space. Also before removing the bolt, make sure you put a plastic bag over the end of the exhaust recirc pipe, as you dont want anything to drop into it.

ball ended allen keys are the hint  BUT THEY MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION !!!! or your impregnated

PS if anyone has vrs dovit's phone no' tell him to get in touch asap:thumbup:
