Need to pick your brains please!

'05 Fabia VRS.

Whilst driving home from Wales this morning, my Fabia suddenly felt very slow, and had no boots. I pulled over, turned the ignition off and restarted. Engine management light came on, but still no boost.

The car is not smoking as I would expect with a full turbo failure, but there a now a few strange metallic noises.

Any ideas?!

Need to get it vag-com'd asap. Could be MAF or some other sensor. Has it done it before?

Could also have popped a boost hose although usually that does lead to smoke.

No, first time it has happened.

Is VAG-COM the dealer diagnostic tool?
