Just bought a 55 plate - december 2005 - superb tdi elegance with the auto box, 70,000 on the clock. loveley drive back from uk to germany where i work.

just wondering if i will need to buy continental lights for it or whether the xenons are switchable across?

cheers for that - my german mechanic thought they will be and i am taking it down there tomorrow for the once over. any other tips and hints for a new owner are welcomed

As with Roto's suggestion, a quick search of the forum would reveal most common faults.

Pollen filter housing (and associated electronic gremlins), central locking (microswitches), rear boot mechanism and awkward o/s (n/s for LHD) CV gaiters to name but a few.
