Help! Faults!!

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Tonight, my climatronic display was displaying a -- for the temperature and the backlight wouldn't come on so I couldn't see anything! I turned car on and off etc, and no luck. Left it 30 minutes and it came back on and all is ok! Should I be worried??

Also, there is a strong smell of petrol when the car is at a standstill with the air con on, anything I can look for to resolve?

Finally, my brakes often make a really really loud squeeling sound when I'm braking softly or moderatly, its driving me nuts and draws quite a bit of attention to my car...what could it be??

Thanks!!!

Bring it over and we'll strip and grease up the brakes and have a good look Chris. :)

As for the petrol, can have a look for anything obvious.

Indeed, thanks Tom :)

Don't cover the backing of the pads, the copper slip lifts the anti rattle backing off.

As for the Climatronic fault, I had that aaaages ago. No repeat since...
