Abs warning light?

Featured Replies

Hi dont know if someone out there that can give me some pointers or has had a problem like this before.

Have a 2004 superb and have just replaced two outer cv boots, :( but now I have the abs circle warning light on as well as the asr warning triangle??

Is it just a case of excess grease around the abs ring that needs cleaning off, or is it possible that there is something more behind this?

Will these faults clear with time? or will it need vagcom to clear them?

Any help would be apreciated.

Did you pull the sensors out when removing the joint? You should to stop the joint ctching the sensor and damaging the end.

The sensors just pull out, pop tem out and clean them up and refit.

Thanks Lummox, I thought it might of been a bit of dirt / grease on the sensor it was too wet last night to look at it. The 2 lights were still on the dash this morning, so I pulled it in the garage this morning and 1 of the sensors wasnt seated fully!

Driven it off the drive and the warning lights have cleared themselves :) .

Cheers JGT
