Zenec Sat nav Pioneer avic f900bt

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just to return my Pioneer F900bt as I had hassle after hassle fitting it, both with and without a can bus adaptor, the last straw was the bluetooth which rang out and when someone answered they couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear them and vice versa...... I don't whole heartedly blame then unit I just think it is two many different companies with different compatability issues.....if I could get it to work I would have another tomorrow, any way my question to you all is as follows I am now looking for a replacement sat nav head unit as I don't like the standard unit and don't want to keep taking a tom tom in and out every journey, I have seen these units ZENEC @ http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/10129.html

They are made for direct replacements for all VW group cars and just plug straight in and I just wondered if anyone else had one what they thought etc.....?

Paul

Hi Paul

I have just bought one of the F900BT units, and it has the Parrot Bluetooth system which I think is the best Bluetooth system on the market.

Reading the way you have (or tried to) install I assume you have caused damage to the unit by connecting it without the adapter.

Did you do the instalation yourself ? if so it might have been cheaper to have it fitted

Having a look round nav units at the moment, hence the (slight) bump :)

Where did you pick up your F900 from and can I ask what you paid? Are you finding it good? Was having a look at it online earlier, along with the F700.

Thanks,

Steve

Replying on behalf of my dad (Radiotwo), he got it from a place in Macclesfield, and think it was around the £800 mark fitted!

Well worth it in my opinion, apart from there being a slight scratch on the screen, so they have taken it back, and are replacing the screen!

According to pioneer, they do not have anymore of this unit in the country, that is why they are replacing the screen and not the whole unit.

Everything works great, sat nav seems to work fine, and the Parrot BT is second to none IHO!

Chris

Thanks for the reply

Looks a lovely unit, and brimming with features. But is a tad pricey for what I was looking at. Wonder what they're doing re stock then; is there (another) new model on the way? :rubchin:

The Avid-D3 would suit fine TBH, but that's been discontinued as well  - looking for some spare stock at the moment though...

Cheers,

Steve

I'm been trying to tempt myself into splasing the cash for my Octavia II to get one of these sooner rather than later.

Would be looking for a complete installation rather than just buy off the shelf though!

Any owners out there got pics of what the finished article looks like? I'm assuming there is a fascia kit to fit the Oct II?

Cheers

Hi Parslad

Look at this:

Just for info, I have not had mine fitted to the Skoda, but into my Van, but just to say I am very pleased with it, it does all what I want, without all the extra wires (eg sat-nav wires) The radio, sat-nav, bluetooth works fine, and the bonus is the SD slot for the music.

And to Wardy as far as I know they are still current and if you would like to have a look let me know and I can arange a meet

Radiotwo

Perfect, thanks for that!

It ticks all the boxes for me I must admit.

Just been to local Halfords, want to get the fascia piece signed and sealed before handing over any cash!

Even though there is that image online, neither of us could find a part number for it. Anyone out there bought it already and happen to have a note of it anywhere?
