I'm guessing it's stuck on?

You need one of these, or similar. Mine were on very tight- it broke the puller getting both off. They tend to corrode onto the spindle. Sometimes they just pull off, sometimes they need the tool.

When it is off, copperease the splines so it doesn't stick again.

Try soaking in wd40, then push down on the arm at the break, then lift up, keep repeating the up/down movement until it becomes loose and comes off.

No, it's just corroded on to the spindle. Rocking it or the puller will get it off.

You may want to put the nut back on if you use the puller, so as to not damage the spindle.

sorted it! at 11PM in the dark haha, top tip here actually, i tried for ages rocking it etc but it just wasnt budging, so i rang my mate who's a mechanic and he said use boiling water and tap the bolt with hammer... so i did and it came straight off! with ease!

Kev, where did you get the replacement wiper arm from, as some twit decided to snap the one off the wife car last night.

Did you get it from the main stealer?

i got it off ebay, i emailed some one who was breaking a fabia and i got it for £5 and £2.50 postage

heres one:

SKODA FABIA VRS 2003 53 REG 35K BREAKING FOR SPARES on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Dec-08 00:06:20 GMT)

Cheers buddy, I will mail them to ask if they still have the part I need....

All the best....

Andy..........

I got my Replacement Front Fogs from that guy for £45.. one new and another MINT like new.. that's under half the retail and they're both OEM parts! Yay.

I asked if he was on here.. he said he left after he was told to become freedom after he posted that vRS up for breaking and thought freedom was a ripp off, .. he does seem to be doing OK through eBay but bet he'd a got rid of allot more if he'd become freedom ;-)

Hello all, well I have just got back from a scrap yard and fitted a 1998 VW Polo wiper arm for a fiver, so all is well again...

All the best.. Andy
