Diagnostics on a Mitsubishi Spacestar (2000)

Featured Replies

My wife has a 2000 Mitsubishi Spacestar 1.3L 200 reg, which throws up the Engine Management light quite often.

It has an OBDII port, but I think it has a different pin configuration than the VAG group cars, and reading up on it, it needs MUTII protocol to scan it. I presume a different lead is required?

Can anyone advise?

search google for ELM327 i think, they're a universal diagnostic device that can read most protocols.

With a 2000 model year you are a bit stuck. Don't think ELM327 will help.

You will need a 1.3u cable and EvoScan software (or find somewhere that has it - e.g. independent garage that services Evo's and FTO's).

Cable and software about £70:

Thanks for that guys. I had found the EVOScan software link, buy couldn't figure out which cable I would need.
