Brake balance - set via VAG-COM ?

Featured Replies

My new vRS (less than 1000 miles on it) seems to have a small problem. The near side rear brake gets a fair bit hotter than the offside.

I've checked the calipers and they are not sticking, nor is the handbrake mechanism. Basically the NSR seems to be doing more work than the OSR.

I assume that the proportioning of brake pressures is handled inside the hydraulic valve block (EBD etc.) is this something that can be inspected and adjusted via VAG-COM?

I have spoken to a local dealer about this issue but was told, 'they are often like that, its normal' I'd like a bit of ammunition when I go back. I have VAG-COM 704 (I think), but its a while since I used it so not taken a look yet. Advance info would be useful. Cheers.
