hi, I have recently bought a fabia sdi for my girlfriend,

I know it shares the same a04 platforrrm as the polo

but was wondering if it was possible to turn down the level of assistance like you can on polos using the VAG 1552 electronic interrogator. she uses it mostly on motorway and finds the steering a bit light at higher speeds.

Any ideas out there???

Yes, you can adjust the power steering on the Fabia in the same way.

I imagine that I can get that done at the main dealer for a nominal cost,

we bought an approved used fabia and it is under a years warranty.

Its going back in a week or two to have the clutch looked at as it seems a bit worn

(biting point very high) so I can ask them to adjust the steering while I'm at it.

Yes, Dealer should be able to sort it. Another possibility is if you can find a member on here close to you that has VAG-COM/VCDS, they could also do it for you.
