Hi all,

I have a phone kit on my Octy and - sadly - happens to have long work phone calls.

During these calls I keep having a large PHONE on the display in the center console - but the music has anyway been switched off - AND another msg about phone call which stands on my MFA and prevents me to know anything else (such as average speeds, fuel consumption).

Is it possible to modify this behaviour?

I think you can change the maxidot option. I'll be in the maxidot menu for the integrated kit.

After your initial post I had a go at this and could only get the maxi-dot to change during a call, not the radio display.

Certainly during a call you can navigate away from the call info by holding down the top rocker switch as per normal to return to the "Root" Menu and select MFD to flick through car info mpg, dist, etc.

Only problem seems to be that you need to navigate back to phone display to kill the call with the stalk, otherwise (depending on who rang who) the other person hangs up and the call may still be connected as far as your mobile is concerned.........

Can't say I've ever had a desperate urge mid call to know my distance or mpg, but it can be done!

I'll try this very evening. I seem to remember that my problem was that after holding down the top rocker switch the display returned automatically to phone... I'm going to try it and keep you informed.

I confirm this. The display returns to previous unit displayed by my MFA but only for a very short time (e.g. 1 second or less), then automatically comes back to "Call" or whatever regardless of how long I keep the upper rocker switch pressed.

Do yours returns to a stable non "Call" display? Perhaps is this a behaviour vagcom"able" ?
