Was washing my vrs today noticed the parts of the alloys around about the center were of a different finish of that of the rest of the wheel. On running a finger over the dull part a distinctive roughness can be felt. You would have to look quite close to see it but now i know its there it is really getting on my man boobs. Should i take it back and demand that they are re finished ???? anybody else had the same problem ???

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the car, then I would recommend taking it back. However, if it's a new car, I'd demand brand new alloys rather than a refinish. After all, for the price, you want it to be right

Are you talking about the centre of the alloys where the badge is?

If so these are removeable and made of plastic. There is also a thin plastic covering over them. Remove for a shiny surface.

Maybe this is what's causing the roughness.

no its in between the spokes near the center of the alloy its as if the paint did not get in there properly, the face of the wheel is perfect.
