KW V1s or AP Coilovers Which ones help ???

Featured Replies

As the title suggests AP's or KW V1s ???

APs are cheaper than KW V1s but how much difference is there between the build quality and reliability ???? I know you get what you pay for as the old saying goes but  really how much difference is there between the two say...

1) Build quality & Reliability

2) Dampening

3) Pitch and role when cornering

4) Adjustments, Higher lower etc

Experienced opinions are very welcome :D

I think you answered your own question there when it comes to coilovers mate:thumbup:

If i had the money, it would be the KW's without a shadow of a doubt:D

The only surefire way is to go out in two cars, each fitted with the respective setups.

There isn't as much weather protection on the APs compared with the KWs too. You could find, if you come to adjust them again after a while that they might have seized, if you don't maintain and lubricate them.

Steve

Re the adjustment, with the KW1's there is only higher or lower, you have to go to KW3's to get bump and rebound as well.

KW all the way!

Thanks guys :)

Ap's are £325 all in, might swing it for some people?

i have owned on numerouse different cars about 12 sets of coilovers, and the kw's simply blew me away,if you can afford them there simply is no other option:thumbup:

After having eibach springs/dampers and going back to oem and being in Gary's car KW's are the way forward. Still remeber Jon's SDI that thing just gripped.

I'll be after a set of coilovers soon - just wondered if you needed to relocate the front ARB like you do on some other VAG group cars?
