I bought a cable to run diagnostics, i repaired the fault and need to wipe the code, does anybody know of a program that can erase error codes... and is free?

I think that's if you try an auto-scan. If you know what bit you replaced, you can take a punt on which module the fault's on, in which case you should be able to do a manual scan / erase on just that module!
