Can you get...

A unit to connect to the central locking that'll shut the windows when you lock it?

Just thinking out loud really.

now that sounds like a mint idea... untill its summer and u want them open tho...

you can with an aftermarket alarm sytem ;)

clifford, toad etc etc

There is an aftermarket plugin, that well, plugs in to enable this. If you cant afford this and you leave the car with the windows down try putting your key in the door lock and turning it and holding it ( iirc its clockwise ). The electric windows will roll up and the car will lock.

if u already have central locking and electric windows from factory u can set this up using vagcom to roll the windows down and up from your keyfob! also activate auto locks to if you dont already have it! u can buy a module for the windows from a lot of places for around 30 tokens but if u have leccy windows and know of someone with full vagcom then why not get it set up for free!

Got autolock but ASFAIK you need extra equipement to roll the windows up. I have Vag-Com how do you do it mate?

The windows should open or close via the key. Just insert the key and turn and hold either way. To open the windows via the fob as you walk up to the car however, would be better still!

I can't remember what it's called, but I'm certain Awesome sell a wire-in box to do this for about £60 (iirc).

Thats the one that i was thinking about earlier. Something like this:

Awesome > ECS KVW100 Window Control Module

I`d be happy to pay a few quid to enable this, if it was just an add on, as oppose to a full alarm system.

The only way when i had a fabia was the autowindow module.

Mine was the first fabia to have this, as i had the prototype unit.

Windows up and windows down at the push of a button, it even had vent mode for when the car became too hot in summer and rain mode when it started raining and the windows were down :P

Search autowindow in google cos i cant be bothered haha
