Headlamp bulbs

Featured Replies

Time to sound stupid here, don't know if motor has xenons or halogen head lamps need a bulb for the head light, how will i tell???

Probably the easiest way to check is do you have the adjustable height thumb wheel next to the light switch? If so they are halogen's.

Factory fit xenon's will go through a 'self level' check when they are turned on (lights goes up and down for a couple of seconds).

They give of a very white light (halogens are more yellow)

You can also IIRC see the ballast attached to the rear of the headlight.

nice one how did the split cv gaiter job go last weekend??

Jason, the easiest way to replace them is like this

Driver side - take cover off airbox, the cosmetic one not the boox one itself btw, unscrew 3 screws from the landing panel that hold the airtube to the airfilter box and remove the tube, undo the small bolt that holds the airbox to the wing, you can now pull the box towards the engine and it gives you ample room to do so.

Pasenger side - pull cover off power steering res, now you have the room.

Mate, don't ask...

I've only had chance to address the issue today due to Gabriella & SWMBO being ill last weekend. I'll be posting up about it a bit later

Anyway, saw your result in the discussion thread, good skills for flying the flag!
