Hi all,

Is there anyway to view the HW and SW number from the ecu without taking it out?

I have tried the engine module but they don't display, i only get:

Control Module Part Number: 06A 906 032 HN

Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0002

Software Coding: 11500

Work Shop Code: WSC 31480

Additional Info: TMBER41******* SKZ7Z*******

Is this because i only have version 409.1?

This ECU uses KWP1281 as diagnostic protocol to communicate, this does not support to show hardware part numbers separately. So in this case, the only way is indeed to take it out and read it from the case.
