I've more or less decided to get this unit fitted to my new VRs but I'd like to see some pictures of it in situ preferably in an Octy - FH-P80BT - Features - Pioneer Car Audio - CD Player - Car*Entertainment

Anyone got this headunit and what do you think of it? Pictures would be great please

Well it's going to cost a bit more than that paying shop prices and for fitting also but it looks a great bit of kit for the money.

Most important features are the bluetooth to my phone and the USB connection.

You're right about the illumination and there's no way to change it but that's not going to put me off.

Would just love to see some pictures of one installed in an Octy...

thats in a mk1 octy but it gives an idea. IMO it looks very nice when the units not lit up, but the blue illumination against the green lets it down for me. Such a shame you cant get green or would have been interested in one myself.

I like the blue illumination but yes it would look better if the Octy dash was blue too. Not a huge fan of the green.

The bluetooth feature is excellent - it just connects to my phone whenever it's in range and the operation via the head unit is straightforward.

I'm impressed with the unit as a whole - the only slight complaint I would have is that although it will recognise a USB drive upto 250GB it will only recognise the first 400 folders which isn't that many. I initially put 25GB of MP3s on and I had ~550 folders so I had to rationalise. Therefore realistically you're never going to get to put 250GB worth of MP3s on....
