fabia diesel temp senders

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where the temp senders are on a fabia 1.9 sdi diesel .for the temp gauge and the heater plugs . ??????

Ive looked but cant see them.and what controls the Glow/heater plugs where is the ecu getting its information from to time them.

Since it's the same block as the PD130 AFAIK, it should probably be as shown in step 2b of this guide. Bit of a pain to get to, but you can replace it without draining down the system if you're quick and put something under the car to catch the drips. When I did it, I needed to put in about half a pint of coolant to top up, but I was doing it in the dark! :D

Impending failure of the sensor caused random glowplug warning lights on mine, and I'm sure I've heard from someone else on here that the coolant temperature sensor does the do for the glowplugs as well as the temperature gauge and all the other stuff...

Do you mean 'two pins'? Yes, the Fabia temp sensor has two pins, unlike the Octavia's which has four!
