I have been having loads of problems with my electrics on my MK1 Octy and managed to get first pick from another mk 1 octy from the local scrapyard i just hope that the parts will be compatable..

My car is an S Reg 1.6 Petrol GLXi Mk1 Octy

The car i got the parts from is An S Reg 1.9 Diesel SLXi

The only differnce between the two cars is mine is peterol and the other diesel.

Both cars have the same identical interior featurs like for like, Electric Mirrors, 4 electric Windows, Key operated central locking (non remote)

I am having the following problems...

Drivers side front and rear doors opening by themselves after locking them, this usually happens through the night.

Windows that work then dont work, then work on their own.

Electric mirrors faulty that when trying to adjust the drivers side mirror both mirrors move outwards.

Drivers Side Rear Door deadlocking itself when driving then unlocking (only does this on this one door only.

Lights left on warning buzzer sounding like morse code (on off on off) and not a constand buzz when opening drivers door.

Back passenger side door not locking or unlocking attall and has to always be opened manually.

boot not opening from drivers door but when done manualy opens and can hear the motor then this locks all the other doors when I have only put the key in the boot.

Interior courtasy light flashing like a disco light rather than remaining on (this only happens when opening drivers front door. Other doors it stays on.

I have got the following bits off the other Octy and I am going to fit the following...

Full drivers door wiring loom

Drivers window mechanism with the Control Module

Convenience ECU Unit

Drivers window control buttons/module

Do you think this will cure my problem as i dont know what else it could be.

one more thing i would like to know...

Where is the sensor or button that controls the buzzer that goes off when you leave your lights on then open the drivers door, all my other cars seem to have had a button that releases when the front door is opened.

I cant see anything on my MK 1 Octavia and just wondered where the switch for the buzzer was.
