Clutch bleed nipple.

Featured Replies

Hello all

Could anybody tell me where the clutch bleed nipple is on a 1.9 Tdi (PD130)?

Many thanks.

On the clutch slave cylinder which is on top of the gearbox bell housing. It's a sod to get to - unscrew the coolant reservoir (don't disconnect anything) and move it aside to slightly improve the access.

The bleed screw is on the top of the slave cylinder.

For 130PD it is so, but forget this procedure on the V6 TDI, you need a long arm and good memory to access it blindly from the underside. The undertray and the left driveshaft cover also need to be removed.

Size 9 spanner (brake bleeds are size 11 I think), and careful when undoing/tightening because the bleed is plastic and a pain to replace if broken.
