has remap caused early service on mk2 vrs

Featured Replies

:(got bluefin remap, pipercross airfilter and blow off valve on octy vrs 2.0T. and with variable servicing it says it needs its service already after just 15000 miles.

do u think the remap is the cause or is this within the normal variable servici period.

i was suprised as 80 percent of my miliage is motorway, albeit at good pace, but not hammering it all the time.

id say i have maxed her out top end maybe twice on the autobahns, and have only done 2 track attacks(nurburgring though)

has anybody else had theyre service this early or have i just **** out of luck then.

not really the sort of thing i needed to hear just before xmas,

Id say that sound's about right especially if you've got a lead foot:P

I'd personally give it an oil change every 6-8k aswel:thumbup:

Paul.

That's towards the upper end of the limit on variable anyway at 9_000 to 19_000.

i dont get this variable servicing... service mines with fully synth and new filter every 5k :)

You dont have to get it, you cant run it ;)
