16" Audi TT alloys

Featured Replies

iv'e just bought a set of TT alloys off ebay amd i'm just making sure that they will fit straight on. there seems plenty clearance for them. is there any problems i have overlooked? i need more protection than the 17" are giving me from the learners. what do you think it will affect the speedo by if i keep the standard tyres on? i think there 205x55x16. :D

Tom.

I think that wouldn't be good, as there's quite a difference in profile... Might rub and stuff, but if you can get away with it... worth an experiment to at least see for sure... ;)

Standard TT tyres are 225/45 17's

Unless youve bought some that were fitted to a Octavia or something.

iv'e bought some off an older TT. they started out with 16" wheels.

If it was a 180 bhp then yes they are 16" wheels. 225 bhp cars allways had 17" wheels.

Tyres would be the wrong profile though.
