just spotted another one..

Featured Replies

this time it was in the car park at our local retail centre. we parked near it and had a good nosey. It was in satin grey with ivory interior - just what i have ordered !!

i think it is the one i saw at the local dealer when i was initially looking - it is the car that we based our colour choice on. I must say, in the bright sunshine we have hear today it looked really good. the only difference was that it had the std 18" wheels and cream carpets. it was a manual TDi

(does the colour of the letters in the badge tell you which engine it is - i know VW used to do this with the golf GT TDi - in that some letters where chrome and some where red and the position of the red letter told you which engine it was)

definitely glad we chose satin grey over steel grey now (still like steel but like satin that littel bit more)

Sit down and have a hot drink, the excitement isn't good for you long term.

I fully understand how you would react like that :rofl:. When I ordered my Superb a few yrs ago there were very few around this way, and any time I spotted one when with friends / family I would be "over there, see it? Park closer / try get behind it in the traffic" :D

Of course :D

I've still only seen mine. Had it 3-4 weeks now. Does no one else in Sheffield have one? I also drive around 600-1k a week, thought one would have popped up somewhere now.

No red TDI = 105 HP

Red I = 140 HP

Red DI = 170 HP

  • 2 months later...

Well I have had mine for 3 months now, covered nearly 5000 miles and haven't seen another superb on the roads. That was until this morning when I spotted a very dirty grey one parked on a side street half a mile from my house. Not seen it there before and an hour later it was gone, so I have put it down to my over imaginative brain........

My 2.0 170 CR TDI, only has Chrome TDI, just lthe letters in upper case, DI has red insert, unlike my previous Superb which had a bar badge and colour insert red, for the 130bhp.

Incomplete detail given

My 170CR has a red DI.

my 170 also has a red DI

Drove ~300 miles today and only glimpsed a new Superb once travelling in the opposite direction on a dual carriageway. There can't be that many on the road. Given the state of the economy maybe this is not surprising.

Spectrum, looks like you've got the wrong badge (the DI on my 170 are also red, as Breef and Chris Westy also), I hope they haven't put the wrong engine in too!

I drive a 150 mile round trip to work and I've still yet to see one on the roads. Saw two Insignia's yesterday though....

See quite alot about in London.

Normally see at least one everyday on my travels (do between 250 - 300 miles a day)

Still not seen one and drive into London every ruddy day. Must be an M40/A40 thing

I am normally in the North and East section of London, so in some of the areas a Superb is very posh ;)

saw two today on the same stretch of road....a silver one and I think the other was cappucino

Saw 3 today

Saw one yesterday in Farnham and saw anotherone today on the M27 near Southampton

I have to say that is the first 2 I have seen

Brian

I've seen two now: one in Nottingham last week and one from my window in Edinburgh this week :)

I was beginning to think they didn't exist ...

Finally saw one today :D Just in case it was someone on here, it was a metallic blue one heading south on the A447 just outside Ibstock, Leicestershire at 1630hrs today.
