y cant you lock your car without activating the alarm

Featured Replies

going on a ferry tomorrow, and were taking the dog, which means we have to leave her in the boot whilst we are on the ferry

however i cant lock the car without the alarm activating and thus going off and deafening the poor dog:mad:

anyone help please???

Press the button on the pillar next to the drivers seat, then lock as normal. Ultrasonics will be disabled until next arming. Deadlocks will still be active.

Or

Double press lock button. Ultrasonics AND deadlocks disabled.

i presume you mean the lock or unlock button inbetween the seats, u mean turn that to off then get out and lock as normal.

thought pressing the button twice put the deadlocks on, ive tried all sorts from pressing once, twice, and just using the key itself. it always seems to go off

NO, pressing the lock button twice disables the deadlocks! When pressing twice, you must do it quickly. Within 2 secs, otherwise deadlocks and ultrasonics will still be on - if you prefer this way

The button you need is on the B pillar (between front and rear doors), and will be illuminated red. This is the way I'd do it.

It's in the manual too.

Press the lock button on the key fob twice should lock the car, but deactivate the motion sensors. Check the handbook.
