Felicia Heater Motor

Featured Replies

Hi,

Not been on here for a while so hope all are well. :wave23d:

The Heater in my S reg (2000 I Think) 1.9 Diesel Fely has completely given up after a few months of start stop, I'm pretty sure it's brushes that have gone and not the switch/wiring etc because of the way it failed.

So before I get a replacment I just want to check to see if anyone knows if they're all the same or do I need to be carefull to get the right one?

Also how much can I expect to pay for a second hand one?

Many Thanks,

Phill.

It's specific to the diesel model

Thanks - Good job I checked!

Part number should be 6U0 819 704 A for the whole unit (with the fans etc) and 6U0 819 021 A for just the motor part - but no doubt these would be very pricey at a dealers for what they are.

6U0 819 021 A is correct for diesel models... in Germany it costs 121,00 € (referring to ETOS)

I have a spare one, but it's for a 1.3 petrol so doubt it would be the same....

it is not the same!

Petrol models can be regulatet from I to IIII diesel until III

:)I've learnt something today.

Why is the diesel fan different? There doesn't really seem any point TBH.

i thought they were the same too, you sure your not confusing it with the one from the air-con model?? after all vag-cat is not allways right

I don't know why they are different, but the part numbers are different...

Maybe the diesel fan is smaller because of the larger engine

Heater motor on felicia 1.3 has very interesting bearing..

mine was failed almost a year ago, it was makeing so much noise like metal to metal contact at III and IV speed.

then i realized its shaft squized with its bearing (some thing like ball joint) very badly and turns togeter in casing. also noticed brushes are ok.

check it may be you find more easy way to fix it then a replacement.

Mine kept squeaking, was very irritating. Opened it up one day and sprayed some WD-40 in round it, no more noise since!
