Alright peeps. The average miles to gallon on our vrs drops when the car is stood still. I'm sure it never did that before and cant see why it would. Therefore its not showing accurate. Just wondered whether anyone had the same problem or knows what to do. Is there away to recalabriate it or what. Thanx for your time and efforts.

I think you will find this is normal. I am pretty sure mine does it when stationary because your burning fuel and not accumulating miles therefore it can only go one way....down. HTH

Yes, it is correct.

Think of it like this.

You do 20 miles at a steady 70 (you use 1/2 gallon - 40MPG).

You sit going nowhere for 30 minutes (you use 1/10 gallon).

You do another 20 miles at a steady 70 (you use 1/2 gallon - 40MPG).

On this trip of 40 miles you have used 1.1 gallons.

Your MPG for this trip should be 36.4 not 40.

whooo hooo!;) we're doing math.

i had a flashback, miss brown saying " now you have six apples in this hand and four in that hand, what have you got":confused::confused:

big hands miss brown:rofl::rofl::rofl:
