Hi TeflonTom

Sounds like it could be the cruise control fault to me if you have it that is

Craig.......

Does it have the power assisted steering sensor like the fabia/octy?

oh, erm yeah it is my fabia that was showing the fault, and it doesn't have cruise contol

could it possibly be the horn causing it?? the horn doesn't always work

Its a Fabia he is talking about.

"implausible" usually crops up when the ECU is getting a weird signal from a sensor. That's what led me to think it might be the steering angle sensor which the power steering uses.

Wasn't sure if it was the felicia being talked about. :o

the 'check' light hasn't come on and there are no other warning lights, it's strange because the 'fault' seems to have gone away now, but i remember it showing the same fault ages ago when stu reset my throttle body.

^^ yeah that was it i think, i don't have cruise control though

Your getting confused here. Thats for an Octavia II that has a steering column control unit. The Fabia doesn't have this control unit.
