External Temperatur Gauge

Featured Replies

Hi I have just bought a second hand Fabia Comfort 2001 and the external temperature gauge on the dashboard isnt registering a temperature.

Does anyone know how to reset / activate this. I have just managed to work out how to set the clock. There appears to be only one control for restting anything on the dash.

Any ideas?

Thanks

There are 2 buttons on the end of the wiper control arm and a reset button on the underside of the wiper control arm.

That wont reset the temp lol.

Try unplugging the sensor and plug it back in. You'll have to take the bumper off though

I didn't say it would reset the temperature, I just said there are 3 buttons on the wiper control arm.

Unless you have foglights you dont have to remover the bumper. You remove the nearside plastic trim where the foglight fits and put your hand in,the sensor is clipped on the number plate side, and can be removed without any tools.

In fact, you can get at it by removing the black plastic bit next to the foglight (or where the foglight would be if you had them) if your hands are small enough, and this will work on all models including the vRS!

It's in the right-hand part of the bumper as you stand facing the front of the car, BTW...
