Very quick Fitting Time question?

Featured Replies

I've just been given a fitting time of 110TU for something?

How long is this in conventional units? (i.e hours and minutes)

.1 of a TU is 6 mins

Hope that helps?

110 time units ?

66 minutes ?

1 hour 6 minutes ?

Oh I love these questions, sparked a massive debate last time.

It would be 1hr 6 mins as posted above.

10 minutes queuing at task allocation desk

10 minutes to read task sheet

5 minute to move car to repair bay

5 minutes to assemble tools at car

10 minutes queuing to get parts

6 minutes to do job

10 minutes to return tools and waste products

5 minutes to move car to parking area

5 minutes to complete task sheet

So you get 6 minutes for free:rofl:

Shirley if .1 of a TU is 6 minutes, one whole TU is 60 minutes ( 1 hour )

Therefore 110 TUs' is 4 days and 14 hours......

Is someone building a car from parts singlehanded using a spoon?

generally , most technicians at main dealers will not get paid to do a road test , it is usually included in the time for the job, or some dealers may even have a foreman/tester who will do the tests/diagnosis for the job
