How easy is it to fit a double din Headunit into the Octavia II. I've currently got a good headunit in my Golf and want to take it out and put it in the Octy if/when i get one. The thing is it doesn't look very easy to do plus it looks like it would be a little untidy.

Anyone done this before and got any pictures i would like to have a look. This is the only thinkg that's holding me back from getiing a new(newer) one and not getting another Mk1 Octy.

A double din head unit will fit in the Octy 2. There are a couple of options one being Audioleads or the best and easiest is the kit from Skoda themselves. It has been discussed on here quite recently.

I dont rate the autoloeads kit at all, it looks cheap and nasty howvever the skoda kit comes with everything you need including all the wiring and looks like an oem install.

I'd go with the Skoda kit too although you would need to modifiy it to take double DIN.

Can only find a single DIN kit on the Skoda accessories site, is there a code/price available for double DIN?

The skoda kit is single din, but it should be possible to modify it to take a double din HU.
