some condensation, will they replace the door seals ?

Featured Replies

my september 2006 fabia sometimes has bad condensation and i think it's the door sales.will my dealer replace the seals under warranty even if the carpets don't get wet ?

i need the front pads replacing soon so i'm hoping they'll do the seals at the same time.

I think that they would need to satisfy themselves first that the seals are the culprit. The usual source of leaking rear doors is the door ancillaries carriers; sealing those involves a fair amount of labour.

Have a look at the 2 photos below. The first shows where my car's rear nearside door was leaking, ie the single drip of water emerging from behind the door trim panel. And the second shows where that water ends up, ie on the inside top of the rubber door seal from whence it gets into the car. If your car's door seals are dry in wet weather, then the leak is elsewhere.
